Bookshelf reorganisation

So I've been absent from this blog again despite promising to post more because I had no idea how much I'd have on with college! I am now gonna try to post regularly because I really want to do reviews and stuff.
For now though, I'm just gonna share my new bookshelves with you. I've reorganised so that I have a seperate TBR shelf and a main shelf that is sorted by genre. I'm really liking it, so here are some photos:

Hopefully you'll hear from me soon!

TBR times

There are some books that I really need to read and it is unbelievably ridiculous that I haven't yet! They're super popular and have a lot of hype surrounding them so I feel that I do need to get round to them in the near future. I have so much to read at the moment so I don't know if I actually will but I will definitely have a good go. Without further ado, her they are:

1) The Half Bad series

I bought these quite a long time ago after Ben (Benjaminoftomes) highly recommended them but they just got shoved on the shelf and haven't been touched since

2) The Darkest Minds

This book is surrounded by so much hype on the Internet and I still haven't read it!

3) Shatter me

The same as the darkest minds, this books is ultra popular yet remains firmly on my TBR shelf

4) The Diviners

I actually only bought this one recently ( at YALC) but I am desperate to crack on with reading it!

5) The Queen of the tearling

I got this book for £4 in sainsburys (bargain) and since it's being made into a film it's an urgent read for me!

With new books coming out every day it's impossible to avoid a massive TBR build up! These few are far from all I have to read, but they are very high on the list!

See you soon

Welcome

Hey guys, so I've decided to restart my blog as a book blog to go along with my Instagram @books.and.biscuits . I've been thinking about restarting for a while but I never got round to it because of stress with exams etc and I've just been really busy. So from now I'm going to post frequently and it'll mainly be reviews and other fun bookish posts. However I may have an occasional random post as well just to keep things interesting (perhaps even some baking)!

See you soon with exciting new posts

Making Smoothies

I recently got a new blender and wanted to test it out, and what better way than to make a delicious smoothie? Here's what I made.

Ingredients:
Strawberries
Banana
Ice
Cranberry juice
(There aren't particular quantities, I just improvised)

Method

Chop up the strawberries and put them  in the blender with the ice

Blend it until it's smooth

Add the cranberry juice and blend it again (not too much)

Add the banana and blend

Pour the smoothie into cups ( Yes i used Starbucks cups. Don't judge me)

This smoothie was delicious, and it is the perfect drink for relaxing on a hot day. I hope you like the recipe
 Be back soon

The Night Circus Book Review

When I first heard about this book I was intrigued. I had never really read any books about a circus before and I really wanted to read it. The beginning was slightly confusing, but once I started to understand what was going on and got to know the characters a bit more I absolutely loved it. I didn't get bored once and I could hardly put the book down at all. It is a really unique book and the story isn't like anything else I've ever read before. Usually there is at least one thing that annoys me in a book, but there wasn't in 'The Night Circus'. It is one of my favourite books of 2014 so far, and I've read quite a lot this year. If anyone is looking for something different to read I would definitely give this a try.

Sorry that this post is so short. I'll be back soon with a longer one.

April Favourites

This month has gone so quickly! It seems like yesterday that I published my March favourites! Anyway, here are my favourites for the month of April.

Revlon Colorburst Showy Matte Lipstick
At the moment I've been trying to wear more bright lipsticks, as it is spring, and I have loads of them. This hot pink colour has definitely been my favourite one this month and is perfect to add a pop of colour to an outfit. Its such a fun colour and perfect for spring and summer.

Primark PS Love Nail Polish Twist Pot
I hate taking off my nail varnish will normal nail varnish remover. Its messy and requires a lot of cotton wool. This twist pot allows you to take it off just by putting your finger in and twisting it round. Its very good at it's job too, and for a pound you can't really go wrong. Its also the perfect thing to just remove the nail varnish from one nail if you make a mistake, instead of ruining all your nails with the remover.

CLIPPER Cranberry and Raspberry Tea
I absolutely love fruit teas, and this is definitely one of my all time favourites. Cranberry and Raspberry is my favourite flavour, and I've never found one more delicious than this. It's worth a try for any tea drinkers looking for something new. I know I'll be going out to get some more!

American Horror Story
I started watching this just under 2 weeks ago, and I've already finished all 3 seasons (Murder house, Asylum and Coven). It is one of the best TV shows that I've discovered in a long time. I was told to watch it loads of times by my friends and on Tumblr, so eventually I did. I am so glad. I would suggest that anyone into the horror genre should watch this ( It's not that scary, but it's kind of violent).

Thanks for reading. See you soon!

Country Side Fun

Last weekend I went to Hertfordshire with my mum to see some family friends and I had a lovely time so I thought I'd write a post about it. On Saturday, we had a picnic in a beautiful park. There was a ridiculous amount of food!

Its kind of a bad photo, I know- sorry.
It got really windy and cold so we all decided to go back to the house to have tea and cake, but It was still a good picnic.

On Sunday we had a very relaxing day. We spent a few hours sitting in a really nice pub. We sat outside as the weather was brilliant.

I had this cider which was really nice.

In the late afternoon, we decided to go for a walk along the river. It was still really sunny and the river was really pretty.

I had a really good weekend and I hope everyone else did something nice over Easter.
I'll be back soon with another post
